Summer comes alive in the seasonal outdoor section of Massanutten Waterpark, open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Soak up the sunshine, race down slides, cool off in the water, and make the most of long summer days packed with splash-worthy fun.

Make the most of long summer days at Massanutten’s outdoor Waterpark in Virginia, where waves roll beneath the sunshine, waterslides twist through the mountain air, and a four-lane mat racer invites a little friendly competition. One Waterpark ticket includes access to both the year-round indoor attractions and the seasonal outdoor section when it is open.

White Caps

Make a splash in White Caps, Massanutten Waterpark’s outdoor wave pool, wherewave after wave rolls through beneath the summer sun. It’s the centerpiece of the seasonal outdoor section and a favorite place to cool off, float, and play.

MASS Mayhem

Share the thrills on a two-person tube ride featuring a dramatic half-pipe-style drop and a brief feeling of weightlessness.

Peak Plunge

Take on twists, turns, and drops aboard a single or double tube on this open-flume waterslide.

Valley Vortex

When the outdoor section is open during summer, one Waterpark ticket unlocks a full day of indoor and outdoor fun. Chill Grill & Chill Grill Slideside

Take a break at Chill Grill for hot-off-the-grill cookout favorites, or stop by Chill Grill Slideside between the outdoor slides and wave pool for quick poolside bites with a front-row view of the action. Both serve burgers, sandwiches, salads, cold drinks, beer, wine, and frozen cocktails. Waterpark admission is required.

Know Before You Go

The Chill Grill serves hot-off-the-grill meals and drinks in the outdoor section, while Chill Grill Slideside offers quick poolside favorites between the slides and wave pool. Both are open seasonally during summer. Outside food and beverages are not permitted inside the Waterpark.

Bring your own towel or purchase or rent them at the Waterpark.

The Outdoor Waterpark typically opens Memorial Day weekend, weather permitting.

Check current conditions before you head out. The outdoor section may close temporarily when lightning is detected within 8 miles of the resort, sustained temperatures fall below 72°F, or thunderstorms are forecast throughout the day. The year-round indoor section remains open during outdoor weather closures.

Come ready to swim in appropriate swimwear. Cutoffs and street clothes are not permitted in the water.
