Day 1

Afternoon arrival: Massanutten Select class

Welcome to Massanutten! Once you’ve checked in and settled into your accommodations, start the weekend with a Massanutten Select class. Choose something that sounds good to both of you, whether that’s pottery making, canvas painting, a build-your-own terrarium workshop, or a relaxing sound bath.

Dinner: Campfire Grill

Settle in at Campfire Grill for wood-fired pizza, steaks, burgers, and other hearty favorites paired with a signature cocktail or local craft beer. If the weather is nice, grab a seat outside by the fire on the deck and enjoy your first summer evening on the mountain.

Day 2

Morning headline activity: River tubing on the Shenandoah River

Spend the morning drifting down the Shenandoah River with Massanutten Adventures. Settle into your tube, let the current carry you along a little over a mile of the river, and enjoy the wooded shoreline and Valley scenery as you make your way toward the Elkton boat landing. Transportation from Massanutten, tubes, life jackets, and a safety orientation are all included.

After your float, grab lunch in nearby Elkton before continuing into the afternoon.

Afternoon: White Oak Lavender Farm & Purple WOLF Vineyard

Spend the afternoon at White Oak Lavender Farm & Purple WOLF Vineyard, where rows of lavender, farm scenery, and local wine make for an easy change of pace. Wander the grounds, browse the farm shop, then settle into the tasting room with a flight of local wine and a view of the Shenandoah Valley stretching beyond the property.

Evening: Elevations Cocktail Lounge + resort entertainment

Back at Massanutten, finish the day at Elevations Cocktail Lounge with a signature cocktail, then see what’s happening as part of Summer Jamboree, the resort’s season-long lineup of free events and activities. Depending on the night, you might find live music at Base Camp, an outdoor movie, pickleball, karaoke, comedy, or another event happening around the mountain.

Day 3

Morning before checkout: Fishing & fly-fishing at Painter’s Pond

Spend your final morning by the water at Painter’s Pond. Cast a line together, or check the schedule for a fly-fishing experience and learn a few basic techniques with equipment included, all surrounded by the green summer mountain scenery. After checking out, stop for brunch or lunch in nearby Elkton or Harrisonburg before starting the drive home.
